NotaFrog is for turning speech you are allowed to capture into notes you are allowed to keep. This page is the line. Breaking it is a breach of the Terms of Service. English is the controlling language.
Do you need permission to record?
Yes. Before you record a meeting, a lecture, a call, or anyone else’s voice, you must have a lawful basis where you are — consent, a published workplace or classroom rule, or another rule that applies. Ask first in a class. Say that you are recording in a meeting. Accept no.
Uploading a file you did not have the right to record is the same breach as recording it live. Ranella does not obtain consent for you and does not police every room. The duty sits with the person who hits record.
What must you not do with NotaFrog?
- Record or upload audio that is illegal to capture or to possess where you are, including hidden recordings that local law forbids.
- Use the product to harm people, to stalk, to blackmail, or to publish private speech without a right to do so.
- Upload malware, or try to break into accounts, rooms, or the API.
- Share a live-caption room as if it were a private back-channel for capturing people who did not agree to be transcribed.
- Resell access, scrape the service at scale, or run automated transcription far beyond ordinary use of your plan.
- Misrepresent transcripts as certified, notarised, or as legal or medical advice.
- Interfere with other users’ rooms or quotas, or attempt to bypass metering.
- Use NotaFrog if we have closed your account for a previous breach.
Ordinary study, work meetings, personal voice notes, and school workspaces used under the institution’s own rules are the intended use.
What happens if you break this policy?
We may warn you, suspend the account, delete content, or close the account. We may refuse a later signup from the same person. We may keep payment and log records needed to explain the decision or to comply with law.
If we are required to disclose data to a competent authority, we will follow the privacy policy. Report abuse to hello@notafrog.app.
Record only whatyou have a right to keep.
Then transcribe it, edit the note, and get back to the work.
